2017年五世茂山忠三郎襲名

昭和57年(1982)8月20日京都生。
能楽師大蔵流狂言方。
茂山 忠三郎家、四世忠三郎の長男。父に師事。4歳にて『以呂波』のシテで初舞台を踏み、 その後「釣狐」、「三番三」、「花子」、「狸腹鼓」など秘曲、重曲を披く 。
海外への芸術文化交流にも力を入れアメリカやヨーロッパなど海外公演も多い。
オーケストラなど他ジャンルとのコラボレーションも盛んで古典芸能における 敷居の固定観念を外すべく日々活動する。
近年ワークショップや狂言教室で、大人から子供まで指導や講演を行なっている。

Chuzaburo Shigeyama was born in 1982. Following in his father’s footsteps, he began professionally performing Kyogen, at the age of four.

In 1998, at the age of sixteen, Chuzaburo performed “Tsurigitune-Fox Trapping”(Chuzaburo Kyogenkai) in four cities.
In 2005, Chuzaburo graduated from Kyoto University of Art and Design, with a degree in Theatre of Performing Arts. In 2007, at the age of twenty-five, he performed “Hanago” (Chuzaburo Kyogenkai) in four cities.

Chuzaburo is extremely active and has worked internationally in both Europe and Asia, and has also toured in the U.S.A.

Chuzaburo also performs ‘Sign Language Kyogen’ and ‘New programs of Kyogen’.
In recent years, Chuzaburo has become widely recognised for his Kyogen workshops and classes.
Chuzaburo’s warm, welcoming approach to teaching, along with his unique & wonderfully effective teaching style has served, & been greatly appreciated, by many.
Chuzaburo, uses his masterful talent to provide lectures for all ages, from toddlers to senior adults.

He is an instructor at Kyoto University of Art and Design and also instructs Kyogen in Nara’Iroha’.

Born in 2014, he started performing Kyogen professionally at the age of four, like his father.
In2018, at the age of 4 he performed『Iroha』〈Chuzaburo Kyogenkai〉 at National Noh Theatre. This was his first performance as a professional.

昭和3年(1928)4月3日生。能楽師大蔵流狂言方。日本能楽会会員［重要無形文化財総合指定］。 家路についても忘れられることがない、温かい含み笑いができる狂言を目指す。「古格ある骨太な演技と飄々としておおらかな芸風」と評され、多くの観客を魅了した。 「忠三郎狂言会」設立(福岡、東京、大阪、京都と四ヶ所での公演を続け、狂言の普及振興に努めた。現在は良暢が受け継いでいる。) また、海外公演も多く、1984年金剛流バチカン公演に参加。ローマ法王の前で狂言を演じる。1985年狂言訪中公演(北京・南京・上海)、1996、2002年アメリカ公演、2000年にはオーストラリアで狂言を演じる。 2011年8月20日永眠

Chuzaburo Shigeyama -Living National Treasure-

is the fourth-generation master of Kyogen performers who go back to the Edo period(1615-1868).He was born in 1928 in Kyoto and began his professional career as a Kyogen actor at the age of four. He has won many awards and was designated an Intangible Cultural Asset by the Japanese government. Mr. Shigeyama instructs students all over Japan in the art of Kyogen.
